The title above is from a conversation I had with the shop owner about a “buy 3, get 1 free” promo.

Each donut costs 13,000 rupiah.

I was a little confused by the magical math, but the dough was already in the fryer.

I’ve been eating Red Been donuts regularly since the COVID days.

This was my first time visiting the shop in person—and that’s when I finally discovered the mystery behind the 3+1 deal.

Red Been Pojok Sudirman is inside Sudirman Corner. The place is on a bend in the road, and every time I go, it makes me a bit uneasy.

The donuts are stuffed full of filling.

At this point, whether it costs 39,000 or 47,000—it really doesn’t matter anymore.

Because they’re that good.

But who on earth parked a motorcycle behind my car and went off to poop?

Is this some kind of trap?

Instead of using the actual motorbike parking lot, they chose to park on a blind curve—right behind a car that obviously has to reverse. The only explanations I can come up with are: either they desperately need a new bike, or they really had to poop.
