Indonesia’s Independence Day is about a month away, so I’ve been seeing a lot of flag seller around. (hereafter “the flag man”)
While I was waiting at a traffic light, a flag man came up to me.
He said one flag was 20,000 rupiah. When I said, “Hmm… that’s kind of expensive.” He dropped the price to 10,000 without hesitation.
Then, the flag man stuck a flag onto my windshield with a loud ‘pop!’.
So, I told him I’d take two.
Somehow, I ended up buying three flags.
The traffic light turned green, so to give me change quickly, the flag man decided to just sell me three.
He quickly pushed a 20,000 note through the window.
Since the flags were already on my windshield, no other flag men came up to me anymore.
