Somewhere between locals and expats, an outsider<\/h5>\n

I came to Bali by chance and found myself captivated by its charm, I’m now one of the expats who have not able been to leave.<\/p>\n

There are so many long-time expats here in Bali that I feel like a bit of a newbie among the “old-timers.<\/p>\n

Repetitive daily life<\/h5>\n

Bali is often referred to as the Island of Dreams or the Island of the Gods.<\/p>\n

Living on this beautiful island, I gradually became immersed in the inescapable familiarity and repetitive routine of daily life.<\/p>\n

The old me who loved new experiences and discoveries has now become a complete homebody.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s now common for me to cancel plans after checking the route on a map app, only to see the traffic jams in real time.<\/p>\n

I no longer need to step outside to top up my prepaid phone or buy electricity tokens.<\/p>\n

Ratings and reviews left by others are always ready to influence my decisions, and ordering delivery for all three meals has become part of my daily routine.<\/p>\n

Sometimes, I find myself missing the old days when I would wait for a taxi I had called an hour in advance with no idea when it would arrive.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s no longer “No pain, no gain,” but rather “No pulsa, no gain” now. (Pulsa: mobile top-up credits).<\/p>\n

Thanks to the rapid pace of technological advancement, I gained convenience, but behind that convenience, I also seem to have lost many things.<\/p>\n

One day, as I found myself missing the days when I used to explore Bali and experience new things, I decided to create Dreamer Meng.<\/p>\n

In fact, there\u2019s already an abundance of useful information about Bali trips and honeymoon destinations.<\/p>\n

So I wondered what kind of stories I could share, but then I thought, maybe someone could discover something new through my own experiences, so I gathered the courage to start.<\/p>\n

I think that way, my trip and someone else’s trip can gradually be completed.<\/p>\n

First of all, I need to step out of the house. <\/span> <\/p>\n

If I go back to the beginning when I was curious, experience new places and foods, and see Bali from a different perspective than before, I think I\u2019ll be able to break free from the monotony of daily life and find new inspiration.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’m now going back to the beginning and planning to travel to Bali again.<\/p>\n

While it’s nice to visit landmarks, I live a little bit away from the tourist areas, so I’ll mostly be spending time in everyday places in Bali.<\/p>\n

For that reason, my posts might resonate more with free-spirited travelers looking to experience the real Bali life.<\/p>\n

Finally, I hope that all travelers planning a trip to Bali, those already in Bali, and those with memories of Bali will find my writing interesting.
